Our family were looked after by R. Locke & Son, and we could not have asked for a more respectful, caring, and professional service during the most painful time of our lives. We were supported by a gentleman named Duncan, who was calm, compassionate, and deeply respectful throughout the entire process. His presence helped us begin our journey through grief, and he treated our dear mother — and my dad’s soulmate — with the dignity and gentleness she deserved. Duncan guided us with such patience and understanding, making an unbearable time feel that little bit more manageable. We will always be grateful for the way he supported our entire family during the shock and pain of our loss. The independent speaker at the funeral, Richard, was also exceptional. He took great care to understand our mother’s life and her story before the service, and he captured her spirit beautifully during the ceremony. His words were thoughtful, sensitive, and deeply personal — a true reflection of who she was. Locke & Son were consistently available and only ever a phone call away. Their chapel of rest is peaceful, beautifully kept, and incredibly calming. The respect and care shown to our mother during the Passover period were second to none. We were able to visit her whenever we needed, and it brought us great comfort knowing she was being cared for with such dignity and commitment. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness, professionalism, and humanity. They helped us honour our mother’s life in the most loving way, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to any family going through loss.

Where amazing in 2020 when my nan Kathleen grow her wings very helpful and understanding. Treated her and all the family perfectly and even met us close to our home so we met in the lay-by at Tadmarton so we could follow her into Banbury as I didn’t want her doing the full journey alone and both us and her had to go on the same road to get into Banbury

George and his colleagues made the unfortunate job of arranging my husband's funeral much smoother than I imagined it could be . The care and concern for us was outstanding and ongoing communication was very good . It is always a very difficult time when a loved one passes and you need as much support as you can get. Apart from the mundane matters of property, utility bills, council tax etc. etc. the first thing you need to deal with is their funeral and all that entails. Enter Locke & Son. The compassion, the detail and all of the background activities you've never thought of, are all covered by this excellent company. We had the pleasure of Duncan Harper holding our hands and leading us gently through the maze of decisions to be made and dealing with all manner of issues we hadn't considered, for example..stonemasons? Of course, we had forgotten about needing them. Every aspect was considered and delivered to the highest standard by all of their staff, not just for the funeral itself but later on for the internment service. Locke & Son was an excellent choice and one that we would highly recommend to anyone.

George clearly explained all options and helped us arrange all of the the church and churchyard formalities including music played in church. R Locke & Son has overseen the funerals of both my parents in 2020 and 2023. The service they provide is outstanding and exceptionally professional. Both George and Belou were incredibly caring when we were going through very difficult times. Thoroughly recommended.

Our lovely Dad Derek died on January 19th after a short battle with dementia and his funeral was on February 17th, so I have had plenty of time to reflect on how we gave him his final send off and celebrated his wonderful life! And we would not have changed a single thing. Colin looked after us throughout, from collecting Dad when he died, to helping us organise a wonderful naval based funeral with a guard of honour and liaising regularly with ourselves and with our lovely friend, Arthur who took the funeral. It was all perfectly fitting and deserving for Dad and could not have gone any smoother than it did. Colin and any of his team we met along the way, treated us with nothing but courtesy and respect and we Thank them very much for that and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to anyone at all! When my father died I found myself in unchartered territory, but Chloe who took my call and George who led the subsequent arrangements, made things every bit the dedicated, compassionate, respectful, courteous, and accommodating service that is accurately described on the Locke website. As an example, this included the surprise touch of ensuring that as an ex-RAF officer who was buried in his No. 1 uniform, Dad and the funeral cortege passed by, and slowed down to a walk at, the Wellington Museum at Moreton-in-Marsh. At what is the most difficult of times R Locke were amazing. Chloe at Wellesbourne was lovely.
