When we conduct a funeral for you, one of our funeral directors will look after arrangements and remains your principle contact, supported by our dedicated and caring operatives, bearers and office team.
Managing Director and Funeral Director
Colin was first recorded helping his father, Raymond (the R in R. Locke & Son) make coffins at the age of 6 and has been involved with and conducting funerals for over 55 years. For many years Colin’s building business ran alongside the funeral business. He is currently project managing the premises expansion plan at Brailes.
Colin is often seen out and about in Tysoe or on long walks with his wife, Chris, and their dogs. His favourite place to walk is anywhere in the Scottish Isles or Yorkshire Dales! If he’s not busy looking after their animals he’s helping support local and village events. Hugely supportive of his grandchildren he regularly helps with music practice or cheering them on pitch side at Shipston Rugby Club on a Sunday morning.

Company Director and Funeral Director
Starting out with washing cars and lining coffins in the school holidays he continued to learn the ropes under his grandfather and father upon joining the business over 25 years ago. George is now the third generation of Locke’s to manage the business.
In anticipation of new regulations within the funeral industry George has successfully completed and been awarded his Diploma in Funeral Directing.
When he’s not working, George can be seen out riding his bike, supporting his children’s scout group in Shipston, helping coach the Under 8's rugby team in Shipston or volunteering for Friends of Brailes School events, most notably leading the firework display for the last few years!
